The kids got bum sleds for Christmas so we found some time to go sleigh riding with Karl's family. Our favorite spot has a fun steep road that has a hill near the end of it. 
The dreaded climb to the top.
We played on the hill for a little bit. Then decided to get out the runner sleds for the road.
We pull the kids up on this big tube that we had when I was growing up. The runners make it all the way down the road.
Kevin won!!
It's even fun for the adults . (and Jack)
Jaydee was so good for us. She spent the day in her car seat. We went during her nap time so she slept most of the time.
The road was almost straight ice. Which made the runners go so fast. My last time down I had to drag my feet the whole way. We wont be dragging the tube up that road any more, because of a big mishap that scared all of us to death. I didn't know trucks could just start going backwards when they are supposed to be going forward. (it was that icy) When it was time to go, we had to drag Kevin off the hill to get him to go home, because it was getting dark. What a fun day!!!

That mishap made me think walking up those hills wouldn't be so bad after all. Kind of defeats the point of driving up it when the truck decides to have a mind of its own! Glad no one got hurt:)
And Colette you gotta brush up on your steering techniques so you don't run us head on into the side of the mountain again.
And by the way I got my girls some good snow clothes so we have to go again some time! Maybe they will last more than five minutes. Hopefully ten or so. lol
