Our Cancun trip

This summer Sandra took all of her children and spouses (and Jaydee) to Cancun. I will start out by saying Mexico is not the place for a three month old baby. The place is not stroller friendly and it was way too hot. Between making sure Jaydee didn't get kidnapped and Karl getting sick, we didn't take very many pictures and the ones I took we are not in. So this is a little of what our trip was like.

We were not able to do very many things together. So most of the pictures are of Karl or me.

I think she was a little too young to enjoy the pool, but I think she liked being in the water where it wasn't hot.

The view out of our room at our first hotel was beautiful.

We went scuba diving, not at the same time of course. We got mexican certified in a half our. It was fun.







We got to go on this zip line and land in the water. We also got to jump off the platform that is to the right of the picture. The water was so clear.

This was a cave that we snorkeled in. I sat back with Jaydee, but got in real fast to take a picture.

We went on a snorkeling trip. Of course you can't snorkel with a baby, so this is a sea turtle we didn't get to see. We waited for the group in the miserable heat. (There was not any shade, and there were ants everywhere)

We spent two days looking at ruins. This was the only ruin we got to see. Karl got dehydrated and sick, so he had to stay on the bus and in the hotel for the two day. Which reminds me I got to give him a shot in the butt that the paramedics left for him. That was not fun for Karl or me. It was too hot to take Jaydee out so I got to be with a sick husband and a daughter that just wanted her own crib. Karl's whole family has been to some of the ruins we went to, and they still let me take Jaydee. They must have forgotten how hot and humid it was. It was so uncomfortable to hold her, because how hot it was. There was a show at night, of course we had to leave early because jaydee was getting fussy. We tried rocking the stroller back behind everyone, but we got eaten alive by ants.


We got to go swimming with dolphins, but I don't have any pictures. For some reason we thought we would be able to take Jaydee. Of course you can't swim in the water with a three month old baby and dolphins. Luckily a worker that was a vet for the dolphins offered to hold Jaydee. She stayed by us the whole time which made me feel completely comfortable.






This was our second hotel. We had our own little bungalow. It was so cute. This is where the paramedics came to our room and where we spent most of our time. Karl couldn't get out of bed and it was too hot to take Jaydee out to the ruins, where everyone else was.

The hotel had several pools. We swam in this one until Jaydee pooped in it....oooops!

Andy, Robyn, Clint, Billie, Kesha, Bill, Troy, Michelle, Sandra, Karl, me, and Jaydee. Karl started feeling better the last day, but we were just excited to get Jaydee out of Mexico. She is a lot happier when holding her doesn't add ten degrees to her and our body temperature.

We would like to do the same trip one day, without children, where we can enjoy each others company and actually get to see the things we went to see.
